• clarity is in opposition to trust

• get more excited about Jesus
• cslewis anything that is not eternal is wasted
• easier to live with urgency when bombs are falling
• lord thank you for bringing us safely into the new day
• parable of 10 virgins: Jesus is coming, nobody knows when, are you ready
• 2 Peter all are invited

• you don’t get stories thru fear
• the worst rebuff we’re likely to get is “no thanks”

• our challenge is we live in entitlement culture
• need to think of gifts not rights

• incompatible
• if going thru hard time don’t turn to comfort

• Jesus plus nothing is everything
• it is finished
